KEYNOTES & WORKSHOPS

Three talks. One framework. Forty years behind every word.

These aren’t speeches. They’re practical frameworks for changing how people think, lead and perform. Every keynote is built from the same consulting work Richard has done for 200+ organisations: QBE, CSIRO, Vodafone, and more. They get the thinking that’s already worked in organisations like yours.

Why this isn’t just a keynote

Every keynote is built on the same thinking that drives his consulting work.

Before he ever stepped on a stage, Richard was the person CEOs called when a brand had lost its direction or a culture had stopped believing its own story. From QBE and CSIRO to Sunnyfield and IQumulate, his work has always started inside organisations, solving business challenges, not just marketing challenges. These three keynotes are the distilled version of that work. They take the same thinking used in consulting engagements and bring it to the stage, so your people leave with a system they can use, not simply a story they’ll remember.

The Consulting

40 years, 200+ brands, real organisational change: QBE, CSIRO, Data61, Munich Re, Breast Cancer Trials, RSPCA, Hunter Water, Mortgage Choice.

The Framework

The BIP Model™, the system behind that consulting work, named and made explicit for the first time.

The Keynote

The same thinking, delivered live, so your people leave with a system, not just a moment.

Richard delivering The Real YOU
01 SIGNATURE KEYNOTE · BIP STAGE 01 — DISCOVERY

The Real YOU

Most people are doing their job with the handbrake on. This keynote removes it. Strip away the job title and the performance, what’s left? Most people have never actually answered that question, and it shows up everywhere: in flat engagement scores, in leaders who manage from a script, in teams that comply instead of contribute. Richard takes audiences through the same discovery process he uses with executive teams, live, in the room. It’s not a passive talk: he works the whiteboard, maps the journey live, and gets the audience contributing rather than just listening.

Comes from: the same discovery work Richard runs with executive teams during a Brand & Positioning Reboot, adapted for a room of any size.

Audiences leave with
A clear articulation of their identity, and permission to perform from it.
Best for
All-staff conferences, culture days, leadership offsites.
Format
45–90 minutes

Richard delivering Power Branding: People Edition
02 CORPORATE KEYNOTE · BIP STAGE 04 — LAUNCH

Power Branding: People Edition

Your people are your brand. Not your logo. Not your tagline. Your people. Branding is now a leadership matter, not a marketing one, and the leaders who understand that build cultures that outperform. This keynote is the live version of the culture work Richard has done inside organisations like QBE and Microsoft: showing leaders exactly where the gap sits between the brand they present in the all-staff deck and the brand their people actually live on a Monday.

Comes from: the Culture & People Alignment consulting work behind QBE’s global culture change and Vodafone’s global customer service alignment.

Audiences leave with
Brand as a leadership discipline, not a marketing afterthought.
Best for
HR, L&D, People & Culture, executive teams.
Format
45–90 minutes

Richard delivering Business as UNusual
03 CHANGE & INNOVATION · BIP STAGE 02 — STRATEGY

Business as UNusual

Certainty is overrated. The organisations that thrive in disruption are the ones that know who they are when everything else changes. Richard has sat inside rebrands, restructures, and full repositioning projects; Data61’s rename, Breast Cancer Trials’ complete identity change, and seen the pattern: the organisations that come through change strongest are the ones whose identity was never up for negotiation, only their strategy. This talk also carries Richard’s thinking on creativity: the belief that “I’m not creative” is one of the biggest inhibitors of performance in a changing business, and that creativity is a discipline, not a personality type.

Comes from: the rebrand and repositioning consulting work behind Data61’s and Breast Cancer Trials’ full identity transformations.

Audiences leave with
An anchor point: identity as the constant when everything else shifts, and a working answer to “I’m not creative.”
Best for
Organisations navigating transformation, restructure or rapid growth.

How It Works · Keynote Booking

One talk, one room, one outcome.

Every keynote starts with a conversation. Richard takes a briefing from you to understand your audience, objectives and challenges. From there, the keynote is tailored to your organisation, your language and the outcome you want people to leave with.
